IPMS
/ NCT Monthly Meetings
|
 |
The North Central Texas Chapter meets on the second Sunday of
every month. The doors open at 1:00 pm for social hour; to see each other's
work, discuss modeling techniques, and say hello. In addition a video is
usually shown
on some subject of interest to modelers.

The meetings start at 2:00pm and lasts
around 1 hour. We cover a variety of topics with various members usually giving
a presentation about kit building skills or techniques. Many of these presenters
have won at the National level.
The club holds a semi-annual auction to give
members a chance to sell kits to each other, as well as raise some funds for the
club. |

Meetings are held in the city of Irving, usually at the Irving Parks and
Recreation Garden and Arts Center, but please check the Events
page for up-to-date location and date information.
Membership in IPMS/USA is not required to attend
the IPMS/NCT meetings, but is encouraged. Also, there is no membership fee in
IPMS/NCT, but a hat will be passed during the meeting for donations.

| We are a not
for profit group and support the local community through programs like the
U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots, the 'Make & Take' Program at the
yearly Scalesfest and other charitable programs. We also support our
troops in the field and have provided kits and supplies for troops during
deployments away overseas. Not too much of a stretch since many of
our members are former soldiers, sailors and airmen themselves. |
